Swimming lessons!
Foothills Park and Recreation District will extend the district rate of $48.00 to all home school participants. Classes will on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at The Ridge, located at 6613 S. Ward Street, Littleton, CO 80127
303.409.2333. The lessons would be twice a week Tuesdays and Thursdays through Thursday, February 7 for a total of 10 lessons. We would probably start them at 10 or 10:30 in the morning. If we actually have 20, we would run three lessons back to back depending on the skill level, so they would run for an hour and a half. Interested parents should contact Kenneth Wick (contact info listed below) ASAP to discuss swimming level of your child(ren) so that he can schedule the classes accordingly.

Lilley Gulch rec center has drop-in basketball for ages 17 and under on Tues. and Thurs. from 2:00pm to 4:00pm for $1.00. I went with my son 2 Tuesdays ago and we were the only ones there. The lady at the desk said no one really ever comes and we wouldn't have to stick to basketball unless kids came for that purpose. She had jump-ropes we could use also.
It's a place to get exercise when it's too cold outside. I am going to try to be there on Tuesdays with my son (maybe my daughter, also). We have another activity on Thursdays.
Younger children could come, too if there weren't any big b-ball games going on. I posted this here since mine are in the older group. I think parents are supposed to stay because they don't have staff supervising.
