Colorado State Capitol Building in Denver
Homeschool Day at the Capitol 2008 Friday, April 11th

Homeschool Day at the Capitol has become an annual tradition for many home schooling families. The day offers a variety of workshops and classes for students of all ages, opportunities to tour the Capitol, meet elected officials and share what you have been doing in your homeschool this year. To get more information about all the events, visit CHEC.org If you are unable to make a day of it – please make every effort to join us for the Rally on the west steps at 12:15pm. This important event is an excellent opportunity for us to show public support for our homeschooling freedoms and helps our elected representatives know the magnitude of homeschooling in Colorado. With all that is going on in California, it is vital that we remind our leaders each year of the quality education our children receive through homeschooling.

Events - Hands On Homeschool

2008 is the 150th anniversary of the founding of Denver. Doors Open Denver will celebrate by opening doors representing “150 Years of Denver Architecture” in a FREE two-day event that allows you to go behind the scenes of the city’s significant architectural gems and lesser-known treasures.

Spend the day on a self-guided tour of both historic and modern buildings, register for an Expert Tour or embark on an Urban Adventure, a self-guided tour based on a theme. We hope you will join us for Doors Open Denver 2008!
Check out the list of participating sites, Expert Tours, Urban Adventures and special activities.
