Evaluations - Hands On Homeschool There is also the option of an Evaluation. Which is what I did with my daughter. I feel that her true ability was shone better in an Evaluation rather than a test.

(I am not against testing! It is what works best for each child, each year.)

The process of Judy's Evaluation was similar to this:
  • You fill out an Evaluation Essay form and send it to her, she then reads it, goes over and certifies that your child has performed to the best of his or her abilities. Then sends you a Certificate of Achievement.
  • The entire evaluation form does not need to be sent, to the state. Just the certificate of achievement.
  • Fee: $25 (At least that is what it was a few years ago.) ;)
  • It was all done through the mail.
