Five in a Row is a unit study curriculum based on children's literature. It is extremely flexible, easy to work with, and inexpensive as materials you'll need are available at the library. They have programs ranging from preschool through high school. Also, they maintain forums to get information from other families using this curriculum.
The creators of Five in a Row are Christian, but the curriculum isn't necessarily. You can purchase supplemental materials to add Bible to your studies, otherwise it covers Fine Arts, Social Studies, Applied Math, Science and Language.
