Centennial Celebration at the Governor's Residence ~ FREE

Colorado First Lady Jeannie Ritter, the Centennial Committee, and History Colorado invite you to celebrate the 100th anniversary of "Colorado's Home" with lectures, tours and family programs throughout the summer! Saturday, July 5, 10 a.m. Free Tours and "Musical Performances of the Frontier Past" at the Governor's Residence The Governor's Residence will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., free family activities will be offered at the Carriage House. Take a musical journey to the mid-1800s and hear what your ancestors heard on the same instruments and in the same style. Rex Rideout recreates the authentic music of the Santa Fe Trail, the battlefields of the Civil War, the cow camps of Colorado, and more. Make instruments and play along to the tunes of the past! Performances at 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The Governor's Residence is located at 400 East 8th Ave, Denver CO 80203. Parking is available at 8th and Logan in the north lot.
